For my son’s birthday party, I hired a clown to perform. My son was looking forward to see the clown make different balloon animals and juggle items, but at the last minute, the clown had to cancel and the company that we hired the clown from didn’t have any more clowns to send us. I was in a panic to find someone who could replace the clown on such a short notice. I found the contact information for a magician in London and hired him to perform in place of the clown. At first, my son was disappointed that the clown wouldn’t be coming, but once the magician performed, his disappointment turned to excitement.
The magician made all kinds of things disappear and appear out of thin air, which shocked all of the kids at the birthday party. I was looking at the magicians hands and sleeves the entire time to figure out how he was doing the tricks, and even I couldn’t figure it out. The magician even used my son in a few of his tricks and he was glad to be apart of them. Once the magic act was over, the magician gave my son a magic trick that he could perform on his friends.
After the party, my son seems to have taken a bit of an interest in magic. He does the trick on anyone e comes across, and he’s been looking online to find some more tricks that he can do. He wants to go to a magic store near our home so he can buy a few tricks. He could probably have a career as a magician if he sticks with it into his adult years. For now, I think he’s just happy showing the tricks to everyone and seeing the surprised look on their faces.
