When I would get a headache before, my entire body would start hurting. I guess I should call them bodyaches rather than headaches, because my neck, back and head would all start hurting. I knew that there had to be some kind of connection there, so I talked with my doctor about it. He told me that he believed there was as well, and then he referred me to a Sacramento chiropractor. He explained that he could give me some medications that could help, but that it would just cover up the problem instead of possibly alleviating it altogether.
That made sense to me, since a chiropractor is trained to help people with back and neck issues. I just never thought that they helped with headache problems too. The chiropractor that I saw was able to explain in depth to me why they are able to help with headaches, since everything like that is connected to the spine in some way. Signals travel up and down the spine when something happens within the body, and that is the reason why I would start hurting in my neck and back when my headaches would strike.
It does not happen like that to very many people, but I was thankful that it does to some since the chiropractor knew exactly what to do to help me. They did an examination first, and also some imaging tests to ensure that there were no underlying causes to this. He then explained that an adjustment would be needed on a regular basis to get the process started, and he did the first one that day. I had six adjustments the first three weeks, and I still have them done now every couple of weeks. They have helped me so much with my headaches and other body aches!
