The boss is not really in a very good mood when the subject comes up, it is not his daughter exactly. Rather the stepdaughter is the one getting married and it is turning into a very expensive and complicated thing. His wife apparently knew somehow that I had experience with planning events, although it was never this sort of thing precisely. At any rate she simply appropriated my services, which does not mean that any of my other duties were taken away from me. Today for example I have been working to look for wedding invitations and that really set off the boss. He came to me and asked me how many there were, which is obviously a huge deal if you know anything about this sort of deal.
