You know how it is. The winter months really make it easy to put on a few pounds. Even if you live where it is beach weather in January, you still have a tendency to put on weight around the holidays and when the days are shorter. Then, all of a sudden, summer is here. Now add to that a high school reunion, and now you can see why the 3 Week Diet was becoming very appealing to me. I had already started on a weight loss plan, but it was going slow. I needed to drop almost 30 more pounds before the reunion next month.
I needed to follow a plan. My ideas were not working fast enough. Do I like dieting like that? No, but I really wanted to fit back into the jeans I was wearing last summer. I really packed on some weight, and everything fit tight. Even my underwear was digging into my skin now. Not comfy even in the slightest. I got used to some late-night snacks pretty much every evening after work for the entire winter. I did not hit up the holiday cookies or pies, but I did take in my share of fresh bread. Wow, just thinking about how a fresh loaf of bread smells is making me hungry. See what I mean? It is tough to stay on the wagon when you enjoy eating good food.
My real problem was when my field job turned into training other field employees. My middle started to expand as I burned less calories as an instructor than I did as a field worker. Now I am adjusting my caloric intake appropriately, and I am getting more exercise. However, I really needed the 3 Week Diet to drop some pounds fast to not be embarrassed for the reunion.
